SECRET PLACE BOLDNESS
Â
Spiritual boldness comes from being filled with the Holy Spirit in the Secret Place. As you study the Scriptures daily, pray without ceasing, and commune with God in the Secret Place, the Holy Spirit fills the Temple of your body with His glorious strength. You are strengthened with the knowledge that God is with you and is pleased with you because you are in His perfect will. There is an unmistakable difference between someone filled with the Holy Spirit who knows God and is walking in Secret Place Boldness. When you dwell in the Secret Place with the Ark of the Covenant (the Holy Spirit) in the Temple of your body, you are filled with courage, strength, confidence, and power.
A sign that someone is spending time in the Secret Place and filled with God’s Holy Spirit is they will speak boldly. The devil and religious leaders love to shut the mouths of God’s saints. However, when someone knows God, they will not be afraid to speak the TRUTH. A Holy Spirit Boldness comes upon anyone who spends time in the Secret Place, and they boldly proclaim the Word of God.
Ephesians 6:19-20 (KJV)
19Â And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20Â For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
In the Book of Acts, the Jewish religious leaders who killed Jesus tried to stop the mouths of His disciples. These religious leaders did not want to hear the truth that they had their Messiah killed. They did everything they could to stop the Apostles from boldly proclaiming the Word of God. The Apostles, however, prayed to God for boldness. God answered their prayer by filling them with a boldness from the Holy Spirit. From that point on, they went out and boldly preached the Gospel with signs following. It takes Boldness from the Holy Spirit to stand up against religious leaders of your day and minister God’s Word with authority and power to a lost generation.
Acts 4:23-31 (KJV)
23Â And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them. 24Â And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is: 25Â Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things? 26Â The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ. 27Â For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, 28Â For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done. 29Â And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, 30Â By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. 31Â And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
Before Joshua entered the Promised Land, God commanded him to be strong and courageous in observing the Law of Moses. God told him that the Book of the Law was not to depart from his mouth, but he was to meditate on it day and night to observe all that was written in it. Then God commanded Joshua again to be strong and of good courage and not to be afraid or dismayed. Joshua was strong and courageous because God said He would be with Him wherever he went.
Joshua 1:6-9 (KJV)
6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. 7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest. 8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
In conclusion, Secret Place Boldness comes to those who are filled with God’s Holy Spirit. God Himself becomes your boldness by His Holy Spirit as you dwell in the Secret Place. Without God, we would all be helpless and sitting ducks to the attacks of the enemy. But, with God, you become a giant slayer who is more than ready to go to battle with the devil and his legions. The Holy Spirit endues the believer with power and supernatural boldness that causes them to be feared, as the enemies of Israel feared the Ark of the Covenant in the Old Testament. The Ark of the Covenant symbolized the power of God’s Holy Spirit being with His people as they kept His Covenant and dwelled in the Secret Place of the Most High. The Holy Spirit is the ONE who fights your battles, and this is why you are filled with supernatural boldness. Thank you, God, for giving us Your precious Holy Spirit.
